Job summary
We have recently reviewed our Organisational Development and Learning Service and this is a newly created post. The post holder will lead on analysing the learning, leadership, and workforce development needs for the Trust. They will facilitate the design, development and implementation of a learning and development plan and programme of activities, events and initiatives to support the priority learning and organisational development needs and enable the achievement of the Trusts' People plan, service, divisional and corporate objectives.
They will support culture change and organisation transformation through a learning and development programme, apprenticeship strategy and talent development initiatives to meet workforce development needs and succession plans. Supporting the Head of OD, Learning and Leadership with the design and development of the leadership development programmes and management and leaderships initiatives and events.
They will develop KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the programmes and review and evaluate the OD, learning and leadership development offer to assess the impact against the Trust's people plan and divisional and Way Forward strategy outcomes, while focussing on its staff and patients and related work streams.
They will manage the training centre, the training Admin and apprenticeship post holders and delegated budgets.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have oversight of the Corporate learning and development offer and support reporting analysis and implementation of the OD, learning and leadership development programme and benchmarking/improvement frameworks.
They will work across the Trust and APC on the analysis of workforce development needs and the delivery of an inclusive training, learning and development offer to meet the workforce development needs.
They will support the Head of OD, Learning and Leadership to develop and deliver transformational programmes and projects for the creation of a more inclusive workforce in line with the Trust and ICS's priorities and APC service improvement for the North West London workforce.
They will be required to work across the Trust to implement a positive learning culture to address staffing and recruitment challenges including role redesign, recruitment and retention, all training including EDI and bullying and harassment.
They will deliver major leadership and management initiatives working with the OD Partners and external OD experts, staff and patient focus groups, Board members and external and internal stakeholder groups that have been set up for this purpose.
They will manage the training centre, the training Admin Officers and Apprenticeship Programme Manager and delegated budgets.
