About the role as Motor Vehicle Assessor:
Activate Learning are recruiting a Motor Vehicle Assessor to join our Construction and Engineering team based at Banbury college.
You will work with our Apprenticeship team within the faculty to ensure high quality training, assessment and support to learners in their workplace on apprenticeship standards.
You will carry a case load of students weighted according to the duties of this role. This will include training, coaching, mentoring and assessing apprentices through gateway to their End-point Assessment.
You will also support employers through the on-boarding process to completion of their apprentice to build strong relationships to promote progression and new business opportunities
Deliver advice and guidance, supporting functional skills, qualification assessment, knowledge, skills and behaviours.
This position is a permanent, full time contract based at Banbury college. Part time applications are welcome.
What do you need to be a successful Motor Vehicle Assessor at Activate Learning?
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities and will also include:
- Provable and relevant industry experience in area of specialism
- Provable and relevant experience of assessing and verification
- Liaising with industry and employers
- Self-motivated to manage a caseload of students and employers
- Experience of coaching, mentoring and support of apprentices
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Conversant in the use of PC’s and software packages particularly Microsoft Office
- Able to work autonomously and resolve problems in dynamic situations while working to deadlines
- Ability to travel to other College sites as and when required.
In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
