Location: N15 Contract: 1-Year Maternity Cover (Starting after October Half Term)A wonderful SEN College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Lecturer to join our team for a 1-year maternity cover, starting after the October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the learning journey of our young people and support their transition to life in supported living environments post-college.About the Role:You will be responsible for teaching a class of 7 learners enrolled on their Maximum Independence course. The course is designed to prepare young people for independent living, focusing on developing essential life skills. Learners are predominantly working around Entry Level 1 in both maths and English.Each learner benefits from 1:1 support from specialist teaching assistants, and as the SEN Lecturer, you will:-Coordinate work and ensure progress towards individual learning targets.-Manage and oversee the smooth running of the timetable.-Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for learners with a range of needs.Key Requirements:-Experience working with SEN learners.-A good understanding of Entry Level 1 maths and English curriculum.-Strong organisational skills to manage learning targets and coordinate with teaching assistants.-Ability to foster independence in learners and support their transition to life beyond college.If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs, we would love to hear from you.INDLON
