Key Responsibilities:
- Market & Promote Students: Build relationships with local businesses, advertising student potential for jobs, apprenticeships, and work experience.
- Review & Assess Progress: Conduct regular reviews to track student progress and ensure they’re on the right path.
- Employer Network: Develop and maintain a pool of at least 50 active employers across various career sectors.
- Risk Management: Perform thorough risk assessments for all work placements to ensure a safe environment.
- Career Guidance: Ensure students receive top-quality career advice and guidance.
- Workshops & Safeguarding: Deliver engaging employability workshops, while safeguarding student welfare and promoting core values.
Marketing & Networking:
- Connect with Employers: Build and maintain professional relationships with employers, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP), and other stakeholders to open doors for students.
- Promote Success Stories: Use social media and video content to showcase the achievements of students, businesses, and tutors.
- Celebrating Success: Organize two annual events recognizing student and employer achievements.
Work-Experience Coordination:
- Placement Recruitment: Proactively market to local employers to secure work placements through cold calling, events, and networking.
- Student Preparation: Ensure students are well-prepared for work placements with individual learning plans and thorough risk assessments.
- Review & Monitor: Conduct placement reviews, workplace attendance checks, and maintain contact with employers to address any concerns.
Progression & Guidance:
- Student Support: Empower students to reach their full potential by offering guidance on learning and work opportunities.
- Positive Destinations: Ensure all students progress into apprenticeships, employment, or further education through effective tracking and follow-up.
Safeguarding:
- Student Welfare: Safeguard and promote the well-being of students, ensuring adherence to British values and preventing radicalization.
- Compliance: All candidates must undergo a DBS check and demonstrate an understanding of their role in protecting vulnerable individuals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential: Level 2 in English & Maths.
- Desirable: CEIAG Level 3/4, Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Skills: Excellent communication, innovative problem-solving, strong organization, and the ability to work towards targets.
