As the Learning & Development Manager for BPAS, you will drive the professional growth of over 950 clinical and non-clinical employees, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and training required to deliver exceptional reproductive health services.
You will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning strategy, focusing on enhancing employee talent and building a competent workforce that underpins BPAS's success.
In this hands-on role, you will oversee and contribute directly to training initiatives, ensuring all employees meet regulatory requirements and maintain certifications in the most efficient and effective manner. As a key leader, you will shape the training agenda, deliver in-house programmes, and coach teams to excel.
Your expertise will help deliver innovative, high-quality training solutions aligned with organisational goals, regulatory obligations, and client-focused care standards. Collaborating with your team, you will set clear direction, forward plan effectively, and ensure successful delivery of training, both in-person and through blended learning technologies.
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will:
- Design and implement effective training strategies to meet organisational goals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Collaborate with managers and directors to identify skill gaps and develop innovative learning solutions, including blended and e-learning programmes.
- Lead on developing competency frameworks and structured upskilling programmes to support role-specific needs.
- Evaluate and monitor training effectiveness, using feedback and performance data to continuously improve our training provision.
- Oversee and deliver key training programmes, including Induction, First Line Manager development, and regulatory training such as Safeguarding and Information Governance.
- Manage and inspire the Learning and Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Support BPASs apprenticeship strategy by sourcing opportunities, managing relationships with providers, and offering tailored support to apprentices.
- Develop and control the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery while exploring opportunities for funding and external accreditation.
About You
You will bring substantial experience as a training professional, with a proven ability to design & deliver engaging material across diverse topics. Skilled at forward planning, you can identify training needs & lead the learning team to deliver on key objectives effectively.
Organised & detail-oriented, you are adept at managing data & presenting information in clear, tailored formats for both internal & external audiences.
With a strong background in training design & delivery, you also have significant expertise in e-learning & blended learning technologies, complemented by a successful track record in managing people & services.

Hours: 36 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am - 3.30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on skills and experience
