We’re seeking an experienced, knowledgeable Freelance Digital Content Developer to help us build a brand-new apprenticeship program. This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the future of digital skills education in Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:
– Working with key stakeholders and industry, develop comprehensive curriculum and training materials for a new digital apprenticeship programme.
– Create and identify engaging, interactive content across multiple formats; this could be video, presentations, worksheet exercises, etc (Microsoft 365 training must be embedded into the curriculum.)
– Ensure all content aligns with apprenticeship standards, assessment criteria and industry best practices
– Work closely with our Tech Career Pathways lead and academy Manager to refine the programme based on stakeholder feedback
– Contribute expertise in digital skills, curriculum design, and adult learning principles
Who we're looking for- Experience developing curriculum and training content for digital/tech subjects
- Proven track record of creating high-quality, impactful educational materials
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong grasp of digital skills, technologies, and the evolving needs of the tech industry
- Background in vocational training, apprenticeships, or adult education preferred
- A strong understanding of virtual learning environments
- Knowledge of the assessment process and how content development supports this process
- Based in or able to travel within Cornwall
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the tech community in Cornwall.
- Champion inclusive practices within your projects and interactions.
- Actively contribute to creating a supportive and connected environment for your team and partners.

This is an initial 12-week contract with the potential to extend into a longer-term arrangement (either as content or delivery) as rollout commences. We know how important it is that training material is updated to ensure it mirrors industry requirements.
