We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer to contribute to the success of our students in the Skills for Work and Living department at Stamford College. This role involves delivering engaging and effective teaching to students with special educational needs and/or disabilities across a range of non-accredited and accredited courses from Entry Level to Level 1.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing students’ independence, employability, and maths and English skills. You will also be responsible for course coordination, ensuring the smooth running of your program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and assessment. This includes designing and delivering engaging learning experiences, creating course materials, and providing academic support to students.
Additionally, you will coordinate and promote courses, manage student progress, and ensure adherence to college policies and procedures. A strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement is essential for this role.
You will be a qualified teacher (or willing to work towards achieving within an agreed timeframe), hold a Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, and minimum Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy. Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA) and Internal Verifier awards (V1/IQA) are essential.
Additionally, proven experience of working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities, delivering effective lessons, and successful teamwork is required. Previous experience in Further Education, course coordination, delivering Entry Level courses, and Entry Level maths and English qualifications is desirable.
