We are looking for Talent Coaches - Apprenticeship Assessors working at level 5 or above (Management) to support our Accountancy and Tax apprentices.
As a Talent Coach at Kaplan, you’ll provide outstanding support, advice, and guidance to our apprentices, as they work towards becoming qualified accountancy and tax professionals. Our apprenticeships offer Pathways to ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CTA, and ATT qualifications. We are the largest provider of apprenticeships in the accountancy and tax sector and have supported many thousands on their journey to professional qualification. We're looking for inspiring individuals with strong coaching skills to be part of our success. You will need to have a track record of successfully delivering accountancy or ‘professional management ’-based apprenticeship (standards) at L5 or above.

What will you be doing?
With responsibility for a group of learners, you'll use your coaching skills to build strong working relationships with each individual learner, helping them to understand more about themselves and empowering them to succeed and achieve excellent results both in their exams and in the workplace. You’ll continuously build your own knowledge and skills, as well as those you work alongside, and will contribute towards our commitment to continuously improve the services and products that we offer to our customers.
You will:
- Coach and support a group of learners on Apprenticeship programmes across the Accountancy and Tax provision to ensure they complete their programme in a timely way and ensure our customer expectations are met.
- Ensure learners have a robust learning plan from the start of their apprenticeship, regularly reviewing, giving advice and arranging any additional support tailored to their individual needs
- Build a strong and effective rapport with learners and their line managers/employers
- Ensure learner files are compliant with the requirements of relevant bodies including Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted.
- Work with colleagues across Kaplan to deliver an all-round outstanding experience to learners
- Address learners' and employers’ queries promptly and efficiently.
- Flag any concerns with learners' progress as early as possible and put in place measures to support and enable success
What you’ll bring to the role
Relevant industry expertise and a passion for coaching and mentoring and seeing learners succeed. You will need to bring:
- A track record of successfully delivering accountancy or ‘management’-based apprenticeship (standards) at L5 or above - (in person and remotely)
- Essential professional qualifications including CAVA/TAQA, and a minimum of PTLLS/AET. IAG at level 3 would be advantageous
- Maths and English at min of GCE: A to C/4 or above or equivalent e.g. FS at L2
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to adopt a flexible approach, communicate professionally with confidence, clarity, and purpose, be approachable, listens carefully to all encounters and be able to influence and persuade others
- Ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities
- Flexible approach and attitude to work, including the occasional travel and overnight stay within the UK
