Functional Skills Tutor / Facilitator - Remote Working
I have an exciting opportunity to work with a world class leadership and management development company. They are looking for an ambitious, highly skilled Functional Skills Tutor / Facilitator to join their growing team. The Functional Skills Team are extremely proud of their 100% overall pass rate for Maths and English. You will be required to visit learners in the workplace to deliver face to face sessions so you will need to hold a full drivers licence and have access to your own transport. For 13 years, they have been delivering leadership and management development programmes all over the UK and internationally. They are looking for the right people to continue the great work achieved so far, whilst also bringing innovation and product development to their organisation. The business has grown with some of the world’s best-known brands exclusively through word of mouth and delivering the highest quality leadership and management development at all levels from first line team leaders to executive boards. They have already put over 300 leaders through apprenticeship programme EPA with a 100% pass rate, over 98% achieving distinction or merit. They are fairly unique and have a fully employed team of professional specialist facilitators, quality coaches, functional skills tutors, administrators and leadership team. They never subcontract work out and maintain complete control over the quality of their products and services.
The package available for Functional Skills Tutor / Facilitator:
- Basic salary of £** - £**
- 22 days holiday plus public holidays.
Purpose of the role of Functional Skills Tutor / Facilitator:
- Carry out initial diagnostic assessments with learners.
- Design an individual learning plan to meet the learners needs and implement in line with the diagnostic assessments.
- Work with learners of varying abilities and learning needs.
- Visit learners in the workplace to deliver face to face sessions as well as virtual sessions.
- Contextualise learning to make it relevant to the delegates industry, programme and learning aims.
- Recognise and support hidden and diagnosed learning needs.
- Achieve results when delivering Functional Skills Programmes to small and large groups.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest technologies, teaching techniques and industry developments.
- Be a highly motivated and driven team member.
- Differentiate delivery style depending upon the specific audience.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required for the role of Functional Skills Tutor / Facilitator:
- Strong experience of teaching Functional Skills Maths and English.
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification - PGCE, Cert Ed, PTLLS, etc.
- Experience of developing creative and innovative learning session.
- Demonstratable experience of working within a fast-changing environment.
- Create impactful and memorable sessions.
- Experience of supporting Functional Skills learners and supporting them to reach their full potential.
The ability to work at a fast pace in a demanding environment is essential.
