HE Senior Lecturer (£44,477 – £56,292 p.a. pro rata)
Role Overview
The Fashion Management, Marketing, and Communication department offers comprehensive fashion business courses that span both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These courses attract high-caliber students with strong academic and creative skills, designed to cultivate a unique combination of abilities that align with the dynamic fashion and lifestyle industries.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, delivering content across various modules within the fashion business field. Your primary responsibility will be leading our one-year top-up BA (Hons) International Fashion Business (IFB) course, which draws a diverse group of students. This course is also offered in collaboration with our partner institution, HKDI, in Hong Kong, where you will play a key role in supporting this longstanding partnership and may also deliver teaching at their campus.
Ideally, you will have the experience and qualifications to take on the role of Course Leader, overseeing the planning, design, and development of the IFB course. We are seeking someone with extensive knowledge of global fashion business, trends, buying, marketing, and communications, alongside experience in supervising major projects and dissertations. You will have a deep understanding of current industry practices and the ability to impart this knowledge to our students.
If you feel you meet most of the criteria, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t match every single requirement.
Interview Date: Provisional interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 16th January.
