Come and join our People team, we are recruiting for a Head of Learning & Development.
As a strategic leader in learning and development you will support a team of 12 experts in designing and delivering first class training experiences for operational and leadership teams, bringing to life our people strategy - Attract, develop, Retain. You will champion our ambition to be a leader in the transport sector on all things people development and training,
You’ll play an integral role in setting and delivering the learning and development strategy, working in partnership with the People leadership team and key business stakeholders. This is a varied role where you will lead the team, work across the transport sector and deliver training to senior leaders in the business.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a learning and development strategy which improves operational, management and leadership capability across KAM, using new technology & innovative training methods to drive engagement.
- Work in partnership with the Keolis Group both in the UK, Middle East & India and wider group to share best practice, create efficiencies and drive consistency.
- Lead with gravitas and impact on the delivery of training for senior and execs at KAM.
- Develop & implement a talent mapping program to identify talent, providing pathways for development.
- Develop and embed a management, leadership & exec development programs to drive capabilities, consistency and create high performing teams.
- Design and deliver an impactful inclusive leadership program to reach every colleague at KAM that educates, raises awareness and positively impacts culture.
- We want you to love data, know it, assess performance & adapt our training to be the best we can be.
- Support your team on driving the annual operational training requirements for drivers and engineering to utilise as many training days as possible, create greater flexibility and achieve the best return on investment.
- Lead on the development of work experience, T Grade, apprenticeships and graduate programs to showcase careers in transport to grassroots talent across Greater Manchester.
- Achievement of our contractual obligations and achievement of Good Employment Charter member status.
- Lead on people development initiatives working with TfGM to share best practice across the Bee Network.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practice, attending networking events, driving continuous improvement, thinking outside the box to be innovative.
- Work in partnership with the people leadership team to deliver the people strategy, getting involved in key initiatives such as wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and much more.
- You’ll be a key contributor in building an inclusive culture, taking a zero-tolerance approach to unwanted behaviours that go against an inclusive culture, escalating matters to management when appropriate.
- Contribute to a customer centric approach to ways of working and be a customer champion for the business.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- CIPD level 7 (desirable)
- Certificate in L&D practice
- Certificate in leadership coaching (desirable)
- Strong training delivery experience
- Experience managing a team, creating development opportunities and driving accountability
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills to support your team and drive engagement and motivation
- Strong strategic thinking and influencing skills to drive results
- Passionate about training, innovation and overcoming barriers and driving change
- Strong relationship building & stakeholder management focus
- Flexible approach, you can adapt to your situation to get the best results
- Results focused with a passion for delivering projects on time and working as part of an awesome team
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
