What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensuring training is delivered in a time and cost-effective way.
- Co-ordination and delivery of customer apprenticeship training and/or assessment to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
- Liaising and consulting with customers, outside agencies and professional bodies to ensure apprenticeships, qualifications and training programmes meet their qualitative requirements and ensure quality assurance procedures are effectively maintained.
- Maintaining NHBC’s accreditations, including Ofsted, ESFA, and other awarding organisations, as appropriate.
- Supporting the collation and reporting of appropriate KPIs and feedback mechanisms.
- Ensuring apprentices progress and achievements are proactively maintained to ensure compliance with Ofsted & ESFA requirements as directed by compliance processes.
- Consulting with customers in the identification of learning needs and adapting learning to accommodate within our SEND policy
The ideal candidate will have
- Proven track record of providing excellent apprenticeship delivery to successful outcomes
- Suitable experience in the construction industry, particularly in the new-build housing sector at relevant trade level
- It would be advantageous to have timber frame, modular build, or interior fit out experience.
- Examples of where your intervention has provided a sound basis for continual improvement of trade practice.
- A clear understanding of and ability to interpret and engage audiences with the implementation of the NHBC standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to negotiate/communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to influence & coach others, again at all levels.
- Ability to meet deadlines and coach others including apprentices to meet expectations
Education And Qualifications
- Full driving licence.
- Qualified teacher (or working towards)
- Minimum L.2 Site carpentry qualification
- English & maths qualification to the apprenticeship standard minimum, or above
- Working towards membership of appropriate professional institution. *NHBC will support, where able, progression to professional status and encourage participation in trade related organisations.
