About the Role
Do you have a passion for health and social care and a desire to inspire the next generation of professionals? SECCTA is seeking a dedicated Tutor/Assessor to deliver high-quality training and assessments for Adult Care apprenticeships.
This flexible, home-based role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with learners and employers across Essex and London, helping to shape the future of the adult care workforce. You’ll play a pivotal role in equipping learners with the skills and guidance needed to achieve their qualifications while enjoying a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and support learners undertaking Adult Care apprenticeships (Levels 2-5).
- Deliver engaging, high-quality face-to-face and online training sessions tailored to adult care settings.
- Conduct workplace assessments to ensure learners meet apprenticeship standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and developmental guidance to keep learners on track.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress in line with apprenticeship and company guidelines.
- Support learners through their end-point assessment (EPA) process.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure learner welfare, adhering to SECCTA’s policies.
- Collaborate with employers to create a supportive workplace environment for learners.
- Travel to learners’ workplaces as required (expenses reimbursed as per company policy).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3-5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Assessing and teaching qualifications (e.g., A1 Assessor, PTLLS/DTLLS).
- At least 5 years of experience in the adult care sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with OneFile is preferred.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references (required).
