Location: Home-based with regular travel to Swindon and UK-wide

We are working exclusively with Structural Timber Association (STA) to take on an experienced Skills and Training Manager to coordinate and develop training initiatives within the construction sector. This role offers progression opportunities, including managing the STA Quality Assurance programme.
About you:
Strong Understanding Of Construction Training, Apprenticeships, And Qualifications
Proven experience in a skills/training role within the construction industry
Familiarity with CITB and other key industry stakeholders
Basic awareness of government policies related to structural timber systems
Excellent business management and stakeholder engagement skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven
About the role:
Manage and develop STA Skills and Training programmes
Investigate opportunities to generate income via STA training programmes
Lead the Skills and Training Working Group, managing budgets
Strengthen recognition of STA training schemes across the construction industry
Collaborate with CITB, FE/HE institutions, and training providers
Maintain and enhance the STA learning portal for high-quality education delivery
Support STA members with quality and training programmes
Maintaining membership records and reporting to the Board and associated groups
Develop Continuous Personal Development programmes
Future Responsibilities:
Manage the STA Assure quality assurance programme, including coordinating independent auditors and reporting progress to the Board
