Role: Senior Clinical Lecturer - Medical Education School: School of Medicine Grade: Clinical Scale Responsible to: Dean of School of Medicine Campus: Derry ~Londonderry Permanent/Part Time (14 hours per week) The School of Medicine at Ulster University includes two registered professional programmes, the Physician Associate programme and Graduate Entry Medicine, with a remit to diversify the NI healthcare workforce and deliver and support high quality care to patients in hospitals and primary care. With HSC experiencing unprecedented demand with waiting lists higher than never before and an exhausted and depleted workforce, it has never been more important to support high quality education for new professionals. The appointee(s) will be a registered medical practitioner who can contribute broadly across the curriculum to design and deliver high quality learning and teaching. They will act as an influential and positive role model for students and use their clinical credibility to persuade and influence clinical colleagues in developing and maintaining high quality clinical learning experiences for students. It is also expected that they will work with course directors to explore and develop employment opportunities for graduates. The contribution across the programmes will be determined by the Director of Education and Dean of the School of Medicine. The post is offered on a part-time basis at 0.4 FTE, expressions to work 0.2 FTE will be considered.
