The School of Law and Society wishes to appoint a full-time Lecturer as the link tutor for Law partnerships. This is a fixed term contract until 31 July 2025.
We are looking to appoint a candidate who has demonstrable experience and ability both in managing academic partnerships and in the delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate Law/Criminology programmes. Responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and ensuring academic quality standards across franchise programmes.
- Conducting regular reviews of teaching, learning, and assessment activities to align with the University’s frameworks and policies.
- Supporting the validation and periodic review of programmes at partner institutions.
- Working closely with University module convenors, partner module leaders, and teaching staff to ensure franchise delivery aligns with University quality standards.
- Facilitating joint planning, regular communication, and resource sharing between University and partner staff.
- Overseeing and supporting consistent delivery of curriculum, assessment, and student support services.
The candidate should have:
- Specific academic and/or professional expertise in the field of Law/Criminology.
- HE quality assurance experience and understand the requirements related to the Office for Students’ B3 metrics.
- The ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships
- The ability to undertake lecturing/assessment duties
- Have strong communication skills and be proactive and solution focussed.
