We are looking for an Engineering Trainer Assessor to help train and guide our new Engineers to be successful.
The Role
To provide
Engineering training and assessment service to ensure that Fleet maintenance staff are competent to fault finding and investigations to the required standards .
- Training courses are developed within agreed timescales
- High quality technical training is delivered to plan
- Competence assessment targets are met
- Increase in technical staff skills and knowledge in relation to Traction & Rolling Stock (T&RS) leading to a reduction in repeat failures & safety incidents
- Deliver & support Fleet Engineering team projects and modification programmes
- Responsible for training Fleet maintenance staff in all safety, technical & presentation aspects of rolling stock plant and equipment
- Develop and deliver high quality, effective technical training courses as required
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years knowledge and experience working on traction & rolling stock
- Possess or complete within 6 months of appointment a C&G 7331 Trainer Techniques Qualification or equivalent
- Possess or complete within 12 months of appointment an A1 Assessor Award or equivalent
- Excellent technical knowledge of GTR rolling stock, safety and maintenance practices
- Ability to fault find complex modern rollingstock systems
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- I.T literate (using Microsoft, Word, Excel and Access)
- Good Excel analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
