Role Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of our QHSE function and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s QMS, as well as acting as a key interface for Quality, with both internal and external customers. As part of your role, there will also be Inspection-related tasks which you are required to deliver.
Key Accountabilities
- The identification and implementation of quality improvement opportunities across the manufacturing site, branches, and suppliers
- Investigation and resolution of Customer Complaints including RCA and CAPA.
- Inspection, test and release activities as required including Goods Inwards, In Process and Final Inspection using various inspection techniques.
- Performing a range of NDE testing including Dye Penetration and Positive Material Inspection
- Collection and reporting of Internal and supplier NC data.
- Facilitation of the Supplier Complaints process, ensuring timely responses are received.
- Be the primary point of contact for Aerospace for the Quality Dept.
- Conduct internal QMS and Process audits.
- Manage and maintain the site calibration process, ensuring all equipment is compliant and available.
- Maintenance and analysis of data to communicate and improve key quality objectives.
- Provide cover for other members of the Quality Dept as required

Qualifications / Experience
- Time served experience in similar roles within similar industries
- Experience of reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
- Mechanical Engineering qualification - Apprenticeship or similar
