About Us
Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA) is a growing Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Grimsby, and Scunthorpe. We provide Level 3 & 4 engineering apprenticeships, higher education, and upskilling courses to over 300 client companies. Partnering with leading names in engineering and manufacturing, we support the development of engineering training locally, regionally, and nationally.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity within our Sales and Marketing team for a Key Account & Employer Outreach Executive. This role is crucial in driving HETA’s sales function, ensuring the continued success and growth of our training services. You will take a consultative approach to help businesses find the right training solutions while expanding our presence in West Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality consultative sales experience across all HETA products and services.
- Meet personal sales targets for HETA’s training offerings.
- Create and present compelling sales presentations using various media formats.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects and customers, recording all interactions in the CRM system.
- Manage a personal sales pipeline to contribute to team targets.
- Develop tailored business proposals for clients.
- Conduct sales meetings to secure new business.
- Gather and share market intelligence to support HETA’s strategic planning.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, learners, and industry partners.
- Comply with all health & safety and quality management policies.
- Organize and participate in meetings, events, and promotional activities, including taking minutes when required.
- Assist in planning and executing events to promote HETA, its apprentices, and achievements.
Specific Tasks
New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in West Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
- Engage proactively with engineering and manufacturing employers to generate leads.
- Develop and deliver proposals and presentations showcasing HETA’s training solutions.
Key Account Management & Growth:
- Strengthen relationships with existing clients to maximize training opportunities.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within key accounts.
- Conduct regular review meetings to assess training needs and maintain engagement.
Commercial Training & Apprenticeship Contracts:
- Drive commercial revenue by promoting HETA’s full range of training solutions.
- Develop and manage national contracts for commercial training and apprenticeships.
- Work with employers to create customized workforce development programs.
Employer Outreach & Engagement:
- Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns to attract new employers.
- Represent HETA at networking events, conferences, and industry exhibitions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Training teams to ensure effective employer engagement.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates, and business development activities via CRM tools.
- Provide regular performance reports on key accounts, new business, and revenue growth.
About You
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills. Someone who excels at building and maintaining strong professional relationships and are passionate about consultative sales.
A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential, as this role involves remote work and travel within the West Yorkshire area as well as visits to our training centres.
The salary is competitive as well as performance related pay.
Please note: This role is exempt from the annual company bonus scheme.
