DN Colleges Group is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Computing to deliver engaging and effective teaching on a range of further education courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, classroom management, and student assessment, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
This role is part time, working Tuesday - Thursday 8:30am-5pm, and Friday 8:30am-4pm.
Pro rata salary: £24,776.62 - £32,300.28
What We're Looking For
- Appropriate teaching qualification or substantial industrial experience (or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification).
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification at Level 3.
- Experience in a lecturing or training role within the Further and Higher Education sector.
- Strong knowledge of software development, IT security, computer systems, programming, and web development.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality teaching and manage the classroom environment.
- Develop learning materials and mark student assignments.
- Contribute to curriculum development and course leadership.
- Use innovative teaching techniques and integrate ICT as a learning tool.
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance and support.
- Participate in student recruitment and promotional activities.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the department's self-assessment report.

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
