The Role:
As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) at Corndel, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the timely submission of learners for End Point Assessment. You will contribute significantly to the enhancement of teaching, learning, and assessment standards through quality improvement initiatives and the development of exceptional resources and delivery methods, positioning Corndel as the preferred training provider and achieving at least an Ofsted grade 2 in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing Teaching and Learning:
- Providing exceptional feedback, coaching, and support to staff in delivering excellent teaching and assessment preparation.
- Conducting workshops to enhance staff capabilities in teaching, learning, and preparing for End Point Assessments.
- Monitoring compliance with qualification standards and driving continuous improvement.
- Effectively planning and monitoring to ensure timely completion of End Point Assessments.
- Tracking actions to identify trends in quality and compliance.
- Improving Provision:
- Recommending and implementing changes to improve training provision and mentoring staff in achieving excellence.
- Contributing to the development of delivery guides and support documentation for the program and End Point Assessments.
- Participating in standardisation and moderation meetings.
- Maintaining effective relationships with awarding organisations to ensure quality assurance compliance.
- Supporting Continuous Improvement:
- Assisting the Head of Assessment in monitoring and enhancing teaching, learning, and assessment quality.
- Delivering occasional teaching sessions and conducting assessments as needed.
- Contributing to the self-assessment process and supporting Ofsted and external audit visits.
- Ensuring the welfare of all learners and colleagues.
- Engaging in personal development and CPD updates to meet industry standards.

Essential Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and familiarity with End Point Assessment.
- Experience working with Awarding Organisations and other stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of quality assurance systems and the End Point Assessment process.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Productive work ethic with a focus on detail and quality under deadlines.
- Effective communication, IT, and presentation capabilities.
- Current occupational competence in Management standards and End Point Assessment.
- Management qualification level 3 or above.
- Functional skills at level 2 for maths, English, and ICT or equivalent.
Desirable Skills:
- CIPD qualification.
- Experience with Aptem or similar portfolio systems.
- Background in working with End Point Assessment Organisations.
- Skills in developing teaching and learning products to deadlines.
- Experience managing external curriculum assurance visits and reviews.
- Ability to influence senior management on curriculum development and assessment improvements.
- Capacity to analyze and present data to support business objectives.
- Teaching and/or learning qualification level 3 or above.
- L5 Management Qualification.
- IQA Level 4 or equivalent.
