Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to a number of market leading automotive manufacturers. We are currently seeking to recruit a Training Coordinator to join the Mercedes-Benz Apprenticeship Programme Administration Team.
This role will report directly into the Regional Development Coach Lead and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the apprentices and the team of Regional Development Coaches. This will include undertaking online meetings with apprentices to measure and record their progression, administering visit schedule, and identifying learning and progression opportunities and working with the apprentice, mentors, line managers and development coach team to address them.
The Training Coordinator needs to be highly organised with an excellent eye for detail. They will possess exceptional customer service skills, and ideally have previous experience within a learning and development department or apprenticeship programme.
The Apprenticeship Programme is responsible for the development of hundreds of apprentices across the Mercedes-Benz Car and Van retail networks in the UK.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake online Teams meetings with Apprentices and their line managers, scheduled while they are in their place to work to measure and record progression and learning
- Set work and ensure apprentice has clear targets
- Identify learners that are behind, set and agree support plans as necessary to get back on track
- Provide updates to apprentice line managers and mentors and work with them to ensure that apprentices are supported
- Supporting and recording apprentice health and wellbeing concerns, to ensure these are not impacting on learning and progression, ensuring the support is given from relevant colleagues as required.
- Working closely with the wider training and regional team, as well as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Ensure that apprentices have a good understanding of key topics, including Safeguarding, Prevent, and Health and Safety
- Undertake other Training Administration and Support activities as required
The successful candidate is also required to:
- Comply with all policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Prevent & Health & Safety.
- Follow all agreed Quality Assurance and Risk Management systems ensuring the policies and procedures are followed.
- Actively support company policy and best practice including security, with particular emphasis on protection of learner and customer sensitive information, compliance with GDPR.
- Take responsibility to maintain own CPD and undertake mandatory training in regard to Safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety.

Essential Personal Qualities, Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Training coordinator, and/or apprenticeship delivery experience (Desirable)
- Be an outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident personality, with a desire to engage with people, face to face, online and telephone.
- Be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service (including past experience)
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and organisational skills.
- Be highly organised and possess excellent time management skills.
- Have the ability to communicate with a variety of people, including senior managers and apprentices working within a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a professional manner at all times.
- Demonstrate a positive pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Be focused with a good attention to detail.
- A proficient user of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
- Experience of using a Learning Management system (Desired)
- Previous experience within a learning and development department (Desired)
Normal place of work: Mercedes-Benz Apprentice Academy, Delaware Drive, Tongwell, Milton Keynes.
Salary: Up to £22,880 depending on experience
Employment Status: Full Time (Monday to Friday), 35 hours per week
