What you’ll be doing
During this 4-year apprenticeship, you will be utilising specialised software and coding to assess railway designs, help create reports and presentations. This will be as a member of the Systems Modelling Team who, as part of the broader Systems Engineering arm of Engineering Services, perform high quality modelling, simulation and data analysis to provide clients with the detailed information they need to take the optimal decision – Whether that be for changes to railway infrastructure layout due to resignalling schemes aiming to improve journey time, or understanding railway utilisation and capacity bottlenecks, through to historic causes of delay and the possible remedies.
Throughout the project, you’ll maintain a consistent and professional approach to reporting your findings.
