Business Administration Apprenticeship Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the team at the Mazda Academy based in Stewartby, Bedfordshire, as a Business Administration Apprentice.
This new exciting apprenticeship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in various aspects of business administration. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the apprentice will contribute to daily operations, learn administrative processes, and support organisational goals. This role is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in business administration, with a passion for organisation, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow. The successful apprentice will be employed by Calex UK.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing office supplies.
- Work with the apprenticeship training team to arrange for joining instructions and hotel bookings for Mazda Apprenticeship Programme
- Liaise with the transport provider to book minibus transport requirements
- Carry out exam invigilation duties where required (training given)
- Support data entry, document preparation, and filing to ensure accurate record-keeping and organisation.
- Learn to use Microsoft office software applications such as word, excel, and presentation software.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate and execute projects, events, and initiatives.
- Learn about company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Provide support for human resources activities, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel records.
- Assist with financial tasks such as invoicing, billing, and consumable tracking.
- Handle inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders professionally and promptly.
- Participate in training programmes and workshops to develop skills and knowledge related to business administration.
Working Week:
A standard workweek typically consists of 40 hours, scheduled from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5:00 pm. However, specific working hours may vary depending on the requirements of The Mazda Academy.
Approximately 20% of your total work hours will be dedicated to 'off-the-job' training.

Qualification:
The programme lasts for 18 months, during which you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification: Level 3 Business Administration.

Entry Requirements and Qualifications:
- Aged 18+
- Grade 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- A strong interest in learning about business administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn from experienced professionals.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
