We are currently seeking a Countryside and Arboriculture Lecturer to join The Bedford College Group at our Shuttleworth Campus, Old Warden
As a Countryside and Arboriculture Lecturer you play an important role in the success of our students through:
Preparing, delivering and assessing a range of Further Education Countryside provision and Arboricultural Short-courses.Undertaking course administration as necessary including learner registration, assessment planning, exams entry and leadership of Countryside Level 2 and 3 courses.Contributing to developments within the Programme Area/Centre.Contributing to curriculum development where appropriate.

About you:
Ideal candidates will have:
Degree or equivalent in Countryside Management/Arboriculture or similar.Level 3 vocational qualification in Countryside/Arboriculture or related equivalent qualification..GSCE Maths and English (grades A – C) or equivalentRecent experience in the Countryside/Arboriculture industryExperience as a teacher, trainer or instructorAbility to teach students of all ages at various levels of achievementAbility to communicate effectively face-to-face, on the telephone and in writingCurrent Driving Licence and access to a vehicleAbility to work evenings and weekends if requiredWillingness to undertake staff development, including industry updating and related qualifications

Shuttleworth College is set within the stunning location of Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade. It's a specialist land-based college, offering agricultural and environmental education, alongside animal sciences, equine studies and outdoor adventure all delivered within acres of parkland, farmland, lakes and woodland.
