About The Department
We are looking for a
Senior Lecturerin Psychology to join our expanding
School of Psychology in our
Tower Hill Campus. Our School has grown significantly over the last few years, and our journey continues. Our academic team brings together extensive experience from academia, professional practice, and industry. Our goal is to equip our students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring they are fully prepared for employment upon graduation.
About The Opportunity
In this role as
Senior Lecturer you will be a
Campus Lead, to oversee the management and organisation of our Psychology provision at our Tower Hill campus. In addition to the core Senior Lecturer responsibilities, you will ensure the smooth running of the psychology provision, be a live presence on campus, liaise with the Academic Director, and provide regular feedback to the Programme Lead. The core responsibilities as Senior Lecturer will include:
- Responsibility for a programme or suite of associated named awards/programmes
- Module leadership of several large, core modules
- Line management of Lecturers (who may themselves lead modules)
- Contribute to teaching, learning, and assessment activities to ensure excellent student outcomes
You will collaborate with stakeholders across the university to ensure efficient, high-quality programme delivery that aligns with Arden’s vision of accessible, career-focused education.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC), recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Proven experience in developing and enhancing psychology programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- A strong understanding of current teaching, learning, and assessment practices in higher education
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing programme teams and individual staff
