Salary: £9, 522.00 per annum plus 3% after successfully completing probation.
Hours: 14 hours per week Thursday and Friday 8.30 to 4 pm

We are looking for a Part time Job Coach to join our incredible team at Project Search West London University in Ealing. If you have skills, creativity, and a passion for helping others thrive, we’d love to hear how you can make a difference to the lives of the individuals we support!
The successful candidate will provide training and support to interns, business co-workers and families. Ensure successful transition into the work environment and to seek out paid job opportunities both within and outside of the host employer.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support for the Interns at the host business worksite or competitive job which includes but not limited to: job coaching, building natural supports, identifying job accommodations.
- Communicate effectively with other staff, co-worker, families/carers and/or school as it relates to the interns being trained.
- Work with interns on employment planning meetings.
- Work with employers, families, job placement specialist, agency personnel and other appropriate parties to problem solve issues relating to training and employment where necessary.
- Practise positive reinforcement techniques with workers, co-workers, and other staff and help facilitate disability equality training.
- Train learners in the areas of personal hygiene, communication, interviewing, and behaviour as they relate to successful employment.
- Provide travel training to job sites if necessary.
- Communicate with Transition Lead to make final decisions regarding any issues that may affect interns' success at a worksite or competitive job site. These decisions may be related to, but not limited to: continued job coaching, fading, behaviour, job tasks.
- Participate in decision making processes to identify and implement training strategies and/or services with other staff and host business staff.
- Work with other Job coaches and the tutor to carry out monitoring and auditing as requested.
Skills
- A genuine passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centred approach.
- High level of IT skills for record-keeping and communication, familiarity of Google Docs, Gmail and Excel.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, follow instructions, and stay organised.
- Ability to encourage participation, inclusion, and independence.
- Reliability, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to diverse situations.
- Confident in developing and leading sessions.
- Job coaching qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or additional needs.
