We are seeking applicants to fill a Digital Skills Trainer position in Preston, Lancashire. Due to the extensive geographic coverage of this role and the necessity for regular travel, applicants must be located in this area and have access to reliable transportation.
The role
Be part of the AbilityNet and BT Group partnership delivering a nationwide programme of group and one-to-one digital skills training sessions designed to upskill digitally excluded people aged 55 and above, and disabled adults aged 18 or over. These sessions ensure that older and disabled people have the confidence and skills they need to participate in and make the most of life in the digital world.
Skill set required
Ideal candidates will have and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Be prepared to travel daily to training locations within the region specified and occasional travel outside of the region
- Strong digital literacy skills and IT (information technology) knowledge
- Experience of training delivery (or presentation skills)
- Excellent personal communication skills
- Good organisation and administration skills
- Experienced user of Office 365
- Experience of the target audience i.e. charities, older and/or disabled people
