We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ESOL Tutor to deliver high-quality English language instruction to adult and 16-18 learners. This role involves creating engaging lessons, supporting learners in developing essential skills for life and work in the UK, and contributing to the overall success of our ESOL programmes.
As an ESOL Tutor, you will be responsible for lesson preparation, classroom management, curriculum development, and marketing activities. You will use appropriate assessment methods to achieve learning and teaching goals, ensuring that all learner activities are effectively recorded and monitored.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant teaching qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant Academic qualification at Level 5 or higher.
- Experience delivering ESOL programmes and working in a Further Education environment.
- Strong commitment to quality assurance and enhancement.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ESOL and basic maths lessons to adult and 16-18 learners.
- Create innovative and motivational lessons to engage learners.
- Manage administrative duties such as admissions, timetabling, and assessment of progress.
- Report on key performance indicators and engage in data analysis to raise standards.
- Undertake curriculum development and prepare learning materials.
- Ensure the quality of the student learning experience through effective teaching and tutorials.
- Provide student guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Work with external stakeholders to support student work experience.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality assurance systems.
- Recruit and enrol students onto relevant programmes.
- Engage in professional development and training as required.
