Description
We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Acting to design and deliver content across a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, support and assess learners, contribute to curriculum planning and development and engage in research and scholarly activity.

Within the role you will design and deliver teaching, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in research that enhances student learning. The role involves securing external funding, building industry partnerships, and participating in recruitment and promotional activities. You will also contribute to academic networks, uphold quality standards, and support the School’s strategic goals.
About You
You will come from a strong academic background and have professional industry experience. You will have expertise in text-based approaches to actor training for live performance and recorded media, along with a passion for pedagogical innovation. A skilled educator and mentor, you will inspire learners, contribute to research and professional practice, and build sector networks. Strong problem-solving, ICT, and communication skills, along with a proactive and adaptable mindset, are essential.
Additional Information
Salary: Ac3S to Ac3a, £44,128 to 55,755 per annum
This is an onsite role, based at our Newton Park Campus and our Oldfield Park Theatre Workshops.- Applicants with two years or less full-time equivalent teaching experience in Higher Education who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to complete an approved Certificate in Professional Learning in Higher Education course during the first two years of employment
- Applicants with more than two years full time equivalent teaching experience in Higher Education who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to accredit their practice through the HEA fellowship application process during their 6-month probation period
