We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in Business Management and DBA programme manager to join our Birmingham campus on a Full-time, Permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. - THE ROLE - The Senior Lecturer in Business Management and DBA programme manager will be required to devise a range of teaching and assessment materials, covering several modules and subject areas within the DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) programme. The DBA is a professional doctorate which provides a structured programme of study through taught modules at Part I and a research thesis at Part II, closely integrated with an individual’s professional career development. The Senior Lecturer is expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the Institute and the wider University, as well as championing their individual research fields and/or academic specialism. They will be required to lead and/or teach modules such as Quantitative Research Methods, Research Principles and Philosophy, Theoretical Perspectives on Management and Research Dissertation. The ability and willingness to lead on other postgraduate business management programmes will be an advantage. The post holder will deliver teaching in a variety of different learning environments and use a variety of teaching styles and approaches, including all levels of undergraduate study and, where appropriate, postgraduate study. The post holder will offer both academic and pastoral feedback and support to students to the highest professional standards and the ongoing enhancement of the student experience. This will include the development of a wide variety of lifelong learning competencies for DBA students across both Part I and Part II of the programme. The post holder will undertake scholarship, research, training or project work, either individually or within a team, to ensure ongoing professional development and to enhance the profile of the Academic Discipline, Institute and University.
