BA Applied Humanities is an innovative, accelerated degree, offering employment-focused and experiential learning. The programme has both a campus (blended) and online version, with multiple start dates, meaning courses run year-round.
This post provides an opportunity for a teaching-focused academic to provide high quality teaching on an innovative, interdisciplinary programme. We are seeking a teaching-focused academic who is committed to problem-solving learning and to developing strong and effective links with industry, the arts and the wider community.
We will appoint a flexible, creative thinker who is keen to challenge academic boundaries and to encourage students in the Humanities to prepare for employment and for active citizenship.
Applicants must possess a master’s or doctoral degree in any Humanities subject, have experience delivering high-quality teaching in a HE or FE setting and have experience of working with non-traditional and mature learners.
Main responsibilities
To provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment on the Applied Humanities programme and to other programmes as required. To deliver research and enterprise activity and to maintain a professional and research profile.
