About The College
Northumberland College is the only college in the county serving, the communities of Northumberland, offering a diverse curriculum from Entry level to Level 6, discrete SEND provision and Apprenticeships.
We have three campuses based in Berwick, Ashington, and Kirkley Hall, and in October 2024 we achieved an Outstanding rating from Ofsted, in addition to being the top Performing Land based College in the Northeast.

About The Role
A fantastic opportunity to lead and develop an innovative and evolving construction team. This area has a key focus on modern methods of construction as well as traditional brickwork, carpentry and joinery. The role will contribute to the 14-16 Skills academy with Gentoo and will work with key industry partners to co design ambitious curriculum to ensure our students gain essential future ready, industry recognised skills.
About The Candidate
The Faculty of Construction is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative professional, who always strives for excellence; demonstrating a breadth of knowledge and experience of higher education delivery, to inform curriculum and staff development within the FE/HE space. Having a proven track record of success regarding quality, teaching, learning and assessment and a confidence in their ability to create outstanding opportunities for FE/HE students.
Leading by example and inspiring staff to support an outstanding experience, progress, and destination of our students, by setting high expectations of responsibility, accountability, and ownership. Role modelling our professional values, leading, and managing to inform a culture of excellence is essential. This person will be innovative and courageous in our approach to delivery of future ready, modern construction methods.
