A well-established and highly regarded engineering training provider in North Yorkshire is looking for a Machining Trainer to deliver practical training to apprentices. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your industry knowledge and play a key role in shaping the future of engineering.
The Role As a Machining Trainer, you will:
✔️ Deliver hands-on training in machining techniques using lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment
✔️ Support and assess apprentices working towards their Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship
✔️ Provide guidance and mentorship to learners, helping them develop technical skills and industry knowledge
✔️ Work with a structured day-release training programme in a state-of-the-art training centre
✔️ Ensure apprentices meet industry standards and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For 🔹 Strong practical experience in machining, CNC, or precision engineering
🔹 Training experience is an advantage—but full training can be provided for the right candidate
🔹 Excellent communication and mentoring skills to engage and support apprentices
🔹 A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent)
🔹 Passion for developing the next generation of skilled engineers
