The School is looking for a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (Education & Research) to provide teaching on our undergraduate, postgraduate and online programmes, to design and develop course modules, and to contribute to the planning, organisation and delivery of (all) degree programmes in the School. The post holder is expected to develop a research track record in the area of marketing by publishing in international refereed journals. The role holder will also engage pursuing research funding and/or impact, attend research-related meetings, and participate in recognised academic networks and conferences. You should hold a PhD in a field relevant to Marketing.

About the role:
- To take a role in the planning, design, organisation and delivery of modules on our undergraduate, postgraduate and online programmes, and associated teaching activities.
- Supervise student projects and dissertations and provide support and guidance on academic and pastoral issues by acting as a Personal Tutor to students.
- Lead on the introduction of new technological developments that support learning and teaching and incorporate them into best practice
- Engage with relevant research to contribute to the research portfolio of the school
- Supervise postgraduate research students and/or research staff
- Work in teams of colleagues on cutting edge marketing research
- Get involved in fostering impact of your research and promoting knowledge exchange
- Pursue research income capture from a variety of funders
- To carry out administration as requested by the Executive Dean or the Head of Department.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the Head of Group
The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- PhD in relevant subject area
- Appropriate list of relevant publications, work-in-progress and significant evidence of world-class research capacity
- Experience of teaching at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level and being innovative in teaching and curriculum design and willingness to contribute to the pastoral care of students
- Some experience of carrying out academic administration
- Experience of being innovative in teaching and curriculum design
- Engagement in professional organisations (conference papers, workshops, memberships)
Desirable criteria
- Experience of being a team player and significant desire to promote the subject at all levels
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues on teaching and research
- Evidence of application/receipt of internal funding awards for teaching and research
- Evidence of co-supervision for PGR students in research-related domains
