Description
Permanent contract, 30 hours, 52 weeks per year
To work with the Apprenticeship Manager to deliver a high-quality wood occupation apprenticeship programme including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching. As well onsite (employer based) assessment and reviews in both architectural Joinery and Site Carpentry to all apprentices, that meets Bath College quality expectations, that prepares apprentices in both knowledge, skills and behaviours that meet the needs of the industry, the Apprenticeship Institute and End-Point Assessment criteria to a merit or distinction standard. Manage, review, assess and train a caseload of apprentices who are based in the workplace and are currently undertaking Apprenticeships. Key Responsibilities
1.To provide induction, assessment, training, coaching, teaching and assessment to apprentices who are undertaking Apprenticeship Programmes and supporting qualification(s) · Teach, asses, support, advise and assist apprentices during their training both at college and in the workplace.· Deal with queries when supervising apprentices.· Participate in the promotional and marketing aspects of the college. · Undertake initial assessment of apprentices and assist in the apprentice actions planning
2.To assess apprentices’ progress and maintain records of assessments of learning carried out. · To create an engaging learning programme that inspires and motivates apprentices to improve their knowledge, skills and behaviours in the field of Site Carpentry.
3.To assess apprentices’ progress and maintain records of assessments of learning carried out. · To create an engaging learning programme that inspires and motivates apprentices to improve their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the field of Joinery or Carpentry.· Develop a flexible learning programme that accommodates group delivery and 1:1 delivery, offering a digital learning platform in addition to traditional face to face learning opportunities.· Deliver knowledge-based learning modules in accordance with the IFA assessment guidelines.

- Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a carpentry/joinery discipline.
- Assessor to demonstrate a commitment to complete the TAQA Assessor Award within a 12-month period.
- L5 teaching qualification or equivalent(or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle.
- Demonstrate E-literacy and competency in utilising the Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate knowledge of using IT to take photos and record audio and video using mobile technology.
