We can also consider well-qualified graduates who do not yet have a teaching qualification via our teaching apprenticeship route. This can also sometimes be combined with a Graduate Assistant or Resident Tutor role where you would have accommodation on site and help support the boarding life of the school.

The Science department is based in the state-of-the-art Science Centre; there are seven laboratories, excellent technology provision, separate prep rooms, and full Technician support.
Current team members are moving on to new ventures and we are seeking to appoint two qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational Teachers of Chemistry to teach within this academically selective and dynamic school.
Head of Chemistry
The successful applicant will provide outstanding teaching, learning and leadership of the Chemistry department, to secure high attainment of students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent Teacher of Chemistry
- Have a passion for the subject and ability to convey this to students
- Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities
- Be committed to co-curricular activities
- Be committed to a boarding and day school ethos
Teacher of Chemistry
This role is suitable for an Early Career Teacher and we offer support and mentoring via IStip, the Independent School’s induction process, which is also recognised in the state sector.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop excellence within their teaching and inspire students
- Be committed to promoting Chemistry as a subject across the whole school
- Have flair and vision to develop new initiatives within the school
- Be instrumental in maintaining a happy and safe environment whilst stretching students to their full potential
