As Wirral’s largest employer, Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the thriving heart of the local community. Comprising Wirral’s only Emergency Department, it is one of the biggest and busiest acute NHS Trusts in the North West.
We operate from two main sites, Arrowe Park Hospital and Clatterbridge Hospital, while also providing a range of services in community sites. Job overview
An exciting opportunity to join a committed and dynamic team within the Acute Division at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. As Directorate Manager you will work alongside Medical and Nursing leads in developing and managing services to deliver quality care for our patients.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who has the ability to successfully engage with a broad range of teams, disciplines and staff across the Division.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership, operational management, strategic business planning and project management to help ensure that the Division delivers and achieves its performance, quality and efficiency objectives and delivers high standards of care to our patients.
You will have experience at a service management level, experience of successfully delivering projects and will have led your teams to deliver high quality, cost effective patient care.

- To lead on, and be responsible for the development of strategies and business plans for the Division by ensuring that there are robust systems for performance management and quality governance in place. To ensure that the Division’s services are delivered to plan within available resources, and to assured quality standards.
