Job Overview:
Responsible for undertaking a variety of processes including pyro proofing of pyro proofing of pyrotechnic devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identification of proof chamber parts to drawing, assembly and disassembly of chamber parts assemblies.
- Set up appropriate firing mechanisms.
- Load cartridge, rocket motors.
- Arm cartridge, rock motors.
- First cartridge, rock motors.
- Collect and analyse firing data.
- Work to correct QAI’s, tech notes and identification of correct drawings.
- Updating SAP.
- Safe use of ovens, freezers and programming of conditioning chamber times.
- Pressure testing of proof chambers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Qualifications:
·GCSE’s (Grades A – C).
·Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
·NVQ 3 engineering practices.
