About the Role:
We are seeking a Sports Coach to join a dynamic SEMH school supporting both primary and secondary-aged students with special educational needs. Starting on 28th November 2024, the role involves providing positive and engaging physical education sessions that encourage students to develop their skills, confidence, and well-being. You will also be a positive role model, helping students build confidence, resilience, and teamwork through sport.
To be successful in this role, you must be available full-time and hold a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging PE and sports sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEN, including physical activities, sports, and fitness exercises.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to develop social skills, teamwork, and physical abilities.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and well-being through sports and physical activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate sports into students' daily routines and individual learning plans.
- Support the school’s ethos of inclusion, engagement, and physical development for all students.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work full-time.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to commute between locations if necessary.
- Passionate about working with students with SEN and making a positive impact through sports.
- Previous experience as a sports coach or experience working with children or individuals with additional needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and encourage students.
