Lecturer – Maths
We are looking for experienced Mathematics Lecturers to join our English and Maths team.
This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £29,322 to £40,552 (pro rata) per annum.

Job Purpose:
As a lecturer – Mathematics you will provide engaging and effective instruction to a diverse range of students studying mathematics from Entry level up to Higher tier GCSE.
This encompasses developing and delivering well-structured lessons that cater to various learning styles, employing a variety of teaching methodologies, and ensuring that all learners grasp fundamental mathematical concepts. Additionally, mathematics lecturers play a crucial role in supporting students' academic progress by setting achievable goals, providing regular feedback, and assisting with revision and exam preparation.
Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance is also an essential aspect of the job, as it enables lecturers to track individual growth and identify areas for improvement. Moreover, mathematics lecturers collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster a supportive learning environment that maximizes student success.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Teaching qualification (Certificate of Education, PGCE or equivalent).
- Able to evidence successful experience of teaching Functional Skills maths and GCSE Maths.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to develop, plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, motivational and inclusive maths/numeracy learning experiences.Able to evidence successful experience of teaching groups of students classified as High Needs or working with SEND learners.
- Recognise and be prepared to work within a changing environment, including employer facing activity.
