This is a maternity cover from February 2025 - December 2025. An opportunity has arisen to work within the Adult English and maths team. The team is responsible for delivering GCSE & Functional Skills Maths and English to adult learners aged 19+.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Lecturer who can deliver high quality teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of our adult learners in Functional Skills Maths.
With relevant experience and educated to degree level (or equivalent), you will also be educated to Level 2 minimum in Maths and English. You will be an experienced Functional Skills & GCSE Maths teacher. You will be expected to develop lesson plans to meet individual learner needs and deliver innovative lessons that support and engage learners from a range of different backgrounds and abilities. You will routinely monitor learner progress, support needs and set individualised targets to ensure learners are developing their knowledge and skills.
You will have a flexible attitude to working as some evening and non-term time teaching may be required to fit the requirements of the department. The ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and timely completion of paperwork is essential.
