About the role
The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) to provide coordination and input to the teaching of subjects, including Electronic and Electrical Engineering, throughout our degree programmes.
You will join a team of Lecturers delivering a suite of units across our Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught degrees, providing content primarily to students in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Our teaching is primarily delivered face to face, supported by some online content. We are looking for applicants with the expertise and flexibility to teach a broad range of topics in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, as dictated by the different gaps in our teaching, and who bring applied experience to these areas.
You will teach core topics in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, predominantly at FHEQ level 5, such as Communications engineering, Electronic circuits and amplifiers, Electromagnetic waves, Electromagnetic compatibility, and Digital networks.
You will be expected to design and deliver high quality teaching of undergraduate and/or taught postgraduate modules which is informed by significant experience gained via practice, research/study and teaching experience, to include:
- Preparation of teaching material; delivery of lectures, seminars, tutorials, studio sessions and group work;
- Assessment and marking of coursework and dissertations;
- Providing advice and support to students;
- Pastoral care of students, in line with Department and University policy
- Supervision of undergraduate or taught postgraduate student projects
- Teaching-related management and administration duties
- Effective contribution to University-wide developments and innovation in the design and delivery of teaching.
At longlisting stage, applicants may be invited to give an online presentation on their teaching interests.
This role is offered on a full-time basis for 3 years with an expected end date of 30th June 2028.
About you

- significant teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level
