The School of Computer Science and Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Hourly Paid University Lecturer in Games and Animation subjects to deliver on our undergraduate courses. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to our dynamic department and support critical modules including either:
- Computer Animation and Visual Effects software; Houdini, Nuke.
- Programming and Scripting for Games; C++, Unreal Blueprints, Unity C#.
- Graphics and animation for Games; Blender, Unreal Engine, Level-design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on practical sessions in the specified modules.
- Support and mentor students in their learning and development.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Computer Games Development or Computer Animation, Visual Effects or a related field, or significant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of industry standard software as above, and professional practice for games and animation project development.
- Previous teaching experience in higher education is desirable.
