Faculty Member Position at Think FE Ltd
We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our Sport Studies Department as a Sports Lecturer.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in sports, education, and student development, with the ability to deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Higher Education Sport Therapy courses.
This is a permanent position (37 hours per week) that requires working weekends and evenings as needed.
Job Description:
The Sports Lecturer will be responsible for delivering lectures and practical sessions to students, evaluating and assessing student work, leading course development initiatives, providing guidance and support to students, engaging in recruitment efforts, and maintaining quality audits and internal verification.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions to students.
- Evaluation and Assessment: Evaluate and assess student work to ensure high academic standards.
- Curriculum Development: Lead course development initiatives and continuously enhance the curriculum.
- Student Guidance: Provide guidance and support to students through counselling and maintaining discipline.
- Recruitment and Outreach: Engage in recruitment efforts by attending career fairs and conventions.
- Audit and Verification: Maintain quality audits and internal verification to ensure excellent learner service.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Sports Studies or Fitness.
- Diploma Requirement: Diploma in Teaching and Learning or equivalent, or commitment to achieve this qualification.
- GCSE Requirements: Minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
- Teaching Experience: Proven ability to teach and manage educational programmes in higher education.
