In this role you will: Have the opportunity to use your broad expertise in a similar role for example talent development, apprenticeships, early careers, L&D, career coaching - to make the right decisions on how we design and deliver exciting, impactful, inclusive and innovative activities.Work with colleagues to understand their Departments capability and development needs, provide options and the right advice on how best to meet their requirements and then put in place the most effective solution. This may include anything from recruiting apprentices, interns and trainees, to running events and workshops, to sourcing a new supplier, evaluating programme impact or creating information and guidance for colleagues.Understand all the existing activity that is happening across Digital, DWP and wider government, to ensure that we learn lessons, make continuous improvements and leverage joining up where possible.Work closely with stakeholders and can present ideas and facilitate discussions in an engaging and confident way. You will work with our Digital teams, including technical specialists, senior leaders, trainees and apprentices, HR, external suppliers, other government departments, and of course, your team mates within Digital Capability. Its therefore essential that you have exemplary communication skills and like working with people.This is a really exciting and varied role, and one where you could be doing different things on each day. You will have a wonderful chance to create something special that will make a difference to new starters and existing colleagues that will enhance their careers and ensure DWP Digital is opening up its pathways and has the skills it needs in order to deliver the best services to the public.Although this role initially has a focus on apprenticeships and early careers, the post-holder will need to be able to flex across the full range of the teams initiatives and activity, where required.
