Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

We are looking for a number of shift Maintenance Engineers to join the team as we expand and improve as a business.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Working within a team consisting of 2 fitters and an electrician to carry out break downs and PPM's on a variety of equipment and also upgrading existing equipment (conveyor systems, fillers, ovens, automated machinery)3
- Welding/fabricating
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team
- Punctual and reliable
- Must work with a safe and logical approach to installation and maintenance of equipment
- Provide additional support to the project department if required
- Enforce safe working practices to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner to provide and maintain a safe working environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience working on pneumatic systems
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team
- Welding/fabricating skills
- Full tool room on site, so the ability to utilise machine shop skills such as lathes, milling equipment, drills, cutting, burning and welding is highly desirable
- Enforce safe working practices to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner to provide and maintain a safe working environment.
- Must possess recognised apprenticeship indentures
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
Shifts & Benefits Package:
- Shift :- Monday to Friday, 3 shift pattern (Days, afternoons & nights)
- Salary :- from £36,013 (plus shift allowance up to £2400) + Overtime (Shift manning cover and planned maintenance work)
