SENDCO at Histon & Impington Park/Brook Primary School
Required for the start of the Summer Term 2025
This is a permanent position - full-time or could be offered as part time post (minimum of 3 days per week)
Salary: Main/Upper National Teacher Pay Scale (plus SENDCo Allowance)
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and forward-thinking practitioner who has achieved the National Award for SENDCo. The post will be based at our two nearby schools of Histon & Impington Park Primary School and Histon & Impington Brook Primary School. The role will be varied and will include working with pupils with individual needs; overseeing the creation and implementation of individual plans to enable pupils to access the curriculum; reviewing and assessing pupil progress and targets; liaising with external agencies and providing pastoral support to pupils and their families. Staff training will be a strong feature of the role. You will be supported in your role by a fantastic team of teaching staff as well as the SENDCos across our multi-academy trust where you will be able to share good practice to ensure the very highest quality of provision for our SEND pupils. The ideal candidate:
- Has experience of SEND teaching across the primary age range
- Has led school improvement initiatives and is committed to achieving high standards
- Possesses outstanding communication skills and can work well in teams
- Has a thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
