We have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic, committed Teacher of Spanish & French to join our thriving Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department at North Cambridge Academy. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, with the passion and drive to inspire a love of learning in our students, while becoming an expert in your field.
The Opportunity
- To work collaboratively within a vibrant department.
- To teach challenging, stimulating and enjoyable lessons across all key stages.
- Confidently share new ideas, during staff meetings.
- Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions.
- Be aware of pupils’ capabilities and their prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these.
- Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.
The ideal candidate
- Has Qualified Teacher Status and a good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent.
- Can evidence both curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
- Understands and is committed to teaching standards.
- Has high personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
- Is an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.
- Has a positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach towards work.
- Has a willingness to undergo further training and development.
