This pivotal role requires strategic leadership, overseeing the apprenticeships and industry training provision department's direction and performance.
Main responsibilities involve:
- Leading the implementation of the Ofsted EIF requirements across the department.
- Ensuring compliance with external funding and regulation standards.
- Maintaining alignment with qualification awarding organisations' criteria.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve quality and financial performance.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address curriculum gaps.
The annual salary for this position is estimated at around £62,000, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A degree in a field directly related to the role, preferably at a higher level than those taught within the department.
- Suitable licensing and certifications relevant to the position.
- Substantial experience working in the construction industry.
- Detailed knowledge of contemporary industry practices.
- A teaching qualification at least at Level 5, or a commitment to obtaining it within two years.
- Professional certifications such as SMSTS, or a willingness to pursue them.
